There are two types of grease systems which is direct system and complex system. The direct system utilizes a pump to pressurize the grease and measure it out to the application point while the complex system pressurizes the grease in an indirect manner.

Lubrication pumps are used as intermediates to connect between lubricant reservoir and the tubing of the lubrication system.
